Accounts Payable Specialist (Contract - 8 Months, Hybrid)
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid Schedule)
Compensation: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour , depending on experience
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized
Accounts Payable Specialist to support our client's accounting team on an
8-month contract . This hybrid role is ideal for an AP professional who is experienced in full-cycle accounts payable, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: - Process high-volume vendor invoices, including coding, matching, and data entry
- Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
- Maintain accurate AP records and ensure proper documentation and approvals
- Respond to internal and external vendor inquiries professionally and promptly
- Assist with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards
- Support audits by providing documentation and AP schedules as needed
Qualifications: - 2+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of AP processes and general accounting principles
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and invoice processing tools
- Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets
- High attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Work Schedule: - Hybrid schedule with a mix of remote and in-office work in Seattle
