Job Description

The College of Engineering and Science at Louisiana Tech University is soliciting applications for a tenure-track faculty position with a focus on STEM Education Research. Candidates must hold a doctorate or equivalent degree in a STEM field within the College of Engineering and Science. Research interests of particular interest include curriculum design, technology integration in education, assessment methodologies, recruitment/retention of STEM students, and hands-on/project-driven experiential education. Candidates aligned with Louisiana Tech’s Research Centers have collaboration opportunities within the ISERC fields of interest. Successful candidates are expected to participate in multidisciplinary research, initiate and sustain externally funded research programs, and supervise masters and doctoral students. Strong communication skills, teaching abilities, and commitment to university and professional service are expected. Candidates will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and may teach in freshman/sophomore curricular threads such as Living with the Lab and Living with Cyber, as well as integrated math and science courses.
