Program Overview

Comprised of social scientists, PhD-level researchers, and data scientists that bring a multidisciplinary approach to solving challenging applied research questions, this program sustains research to shape the face of personnel security and suitability for the DoD, IC, and federal goverment at large.

About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking a Sr Behavioral Research Scientist to provide subject matter expertise for an Army research project. 

This will be on a part-time/on-call (hourly) basis role - paid by the hour for each hour worked.

Location: Remote work allowed 100%.

In this role, you will serve as a communications expert on and for a small team.

Responsibilities of this position include:

• Leading behavioral science and social science research projects for the Department of Defense
• Advising on research methodology and approach with regards to the area of professional communication
• Writing reports and developing documentation
• Interfacing directly with customers leveraging expertise in problem definition and project leadership

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree and specific experience with the following: 

• • Principal Investigator (PI) experience.
  • Experience with military communication research.
  • Experience supporting Army applied research projects, ideally with the Army Research Institute (ARI).
  • Experience conducting qualitative data collection, coding, and analysis.
  • Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) human subjects certification.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance. 

Preferred: 

• Ph.D. in Professional Communication or related degree.

SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range

Details

Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
