Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC company, is a nationally recognized geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and materials testing firm with over 35 years of excellence is seeking a Chief Geotechnical Engineer/Manager to lead our technical operations, client development, and team growth in the Salt Lake City, UT region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and execute complex geotechnical engineering projects for both public and private sector clients.
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for geotechnical investigations, analyses, and reporting.
• Develop business relationships with clients, agencies, contractors, and partners to secure new projects and grow market share.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage local engineering and technical staff as the office expands.
• Collaborate with other regional offices to share resources, knowledge, and best practices.
• Represent the firm in industry organizations, conferences, and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Utah required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• 12+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering, including project management and staff supervision.
• Strong technical background in geotechnical investigations, foundation design, slope stability, earthwork, retaining structures, and construction support.
• Proven business development skills with an existing network in the Austin or Central Texas market preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
