Summary

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will have primary responsibility for developing and executing New Charter Technologies’ information security policies and strategies. The CISO will oversee the development, implementation, and enforcement of security standards, acting as a business owner in this domain.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with partner companies to develop strategies that mitigate cybersecurity risks.
2. Establish security standards for key systems, including M365, to ensure compliance.
3. Partner with Cyber74 team to implement solutions with minimal business disruption.
4. Leverage contracted resources to execute advanced security initiatives.
5. Manage activities of Security Specialists within partner companies to maintain security standards (approx. 10% of their time).
6. Ensure all information systems adhere to security policies.
7. Lead internal IT risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
8. Build a security-first internal IT support organization.
9. Develop and communicate an overarching Information Security strategy, policies, and controls.
10. Create a tactical project roadmap aligned with long-term goals.
11. Act as a security thought leader by hosting external events to educate clients and prospects on cybersecurity trends.
12. Partner with senior leadership to promote cloud and data center security practices.

Preferred Skills & Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or related fields; MBA or cybersecurity certifications preferred.
2. At least 15 years in Managed Services or Cybersecurity, with 3+ years in a senior role.
3. Experience in decentralized SMB environments with distributed IT teams.
4. Knowledge of managed services, tech-enabled services, and outsourcing models.
5. Experience with mergers and acquisitions in fast-paced settings.
6. Systems implementation experience.
