About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Assessment Review. This executive leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the success of national clinical programs, with a focus on meeting clinical, quality, growth, and financial performance objectives. The ideal candidate will be a visionary and innovative leader with a strong clinical and operational business background, particularly in the area of Utilization Management. Responsibilities include managing a team of clinical professionals, providing strategic leadership in collaboration with various stakeholders, and continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the value of clinical programs. The role also involves publishing high-impact content, evaluating clinical data for process improvement, and maintaining relationships with key clinical leaders. Applicants must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO) degree, an unrestricted medical license, and a minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience. A background in managed care, particularly across the continuum of care, and a proven track record in health care delivery systems and clinical management are essential. The role requires a candidate with a strong business acumen, experience in provider and client-facing customer relationship management, and proficiency in evidence-based clinical decision-making. The Chief Medical Officer will be expected to have excellent presentation skills, a solid operational focus, and the ability to work effectively in a highly-matrixed environment. A belief in evidence-based medicine and a commitment to the mission of improving health care and reducing disparities are also key attributes for this position.
