Join Our Team as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN!

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for providing exceptional care to children? We are looking for a dedicated RN with at least 1 year of experience to join our dynamic Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This 48-bed critical care unit is committed to a patient and family-centered approach, delivering compassionate care to children facing acute and complex life-threatening conditions.

In our PICU, you will be part of a supportive environment with clinical leadership available around the clock. We treat a wide range of critical medical disorders, including trauma, transplants, and neurological issues. If you thrive in fast-paced settings and possess strong decision-making and teamwork skills, we want to hear from you! Please note: This position is for NIGHT SHIFT ONLY and new grad RNs will not be considered.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Evaluate patient conditions based on age and needs, including physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Monitor Patient Progress: Continuously assess responses to care and document findings to ensure effective communication with the healthcare team and families.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to medication, storage, and documentation standards while contributing to team efforts.
• Orient Patients and Families: Provide guidance on unit policies and procedures to enhance familiarity and comfort.
• Supervise and Mentor: Oversee the care activities of team members, providing feedback and ensuring patient safety and quality care.
• Collaborate Effectively: Work with the care team and families to establish and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Foster Learning: Create a positive learning environment by mentoring students and new employees.
• Perform Additional Duties: Take on miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the team.
