Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support a large program with the Department of Energy located in Manassas , Virginia . The Cyber Security Analyst will help to monitor network traffic and perform risk assessments and vulnerability detection. This position requires a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance. Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Analyst include:

• Monitor network traffic and perform vulnerability scans utilizing tools such as Splunk, Panorama, Syslog, Wireshark, Tennable Nessus and more to detect potential threats and ensure network is secure.
• Analyze logs, perform incident response activities, recommend improvements, and design technical solutions to keep the environment safe and secure.
• Prepare documentation following NIST guidelines.

Required Qualifications for the Cyber Security Analyst include:

• 3+ years of experience with packet capture analysis, threat detection, and vulnerability analysis supporting a Security Operations Center or related environment
• Experience with Splunk, Tennable, Nessus, log analysis, and IDS/IPS
• Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance

Compensation for the Cyber Security Analyst include:

• Salary: $130,000-175,000 **Depending on experience**
• Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Holidays, Sick leave as required by law
