The college is governed by the University of Arkansas System Board of Trustees and a seven-member Board of Visitors and derives its support largely from student tuition and fees and legislative appropriations. UA - Pulaski Tech, a comprehensive two-year college, offers associate degree and certificate programs for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and/or for career preparation and advancement. Responsibilities Participate in the selection process of SSS participants by administering assessments, conducting interviews, reviewing student information and determining eligibility. Create student success plans for each participant on assigned caseload based on assessed needs. Meet with each student on assigned caseload at least once a month to monitor progress and assess needs and interventions. Plan and conduct a minimum of two academic and study skills workshops per semester for SSS participants. Plan and conduct a minimum of two financial literacy workshops per semester. Plan and conduct a minimum of two cultural events per semester. Provide academic scheduling support for each participant on his/her caseload. Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office to ensure each student’s financial needs are met. Refer students to community resources. Partner with campus and community organizations and individuals to bring relevant workshops and services to SSS participants. Qualifications Master’s degree required in education, special education, adult education, counselor education or related field. Background similar to students; experience with disadvantaged students preferred. Experience conducting individual and group counseling preferred. Experience in a college setting preferred.
