About Unto Labs Unto Labs is a team of low-level engineers pushing distributed systems to the physical limits of modern hardware. We’re building a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain—and we’re spinning up the applications that will showcase its speed, security, and scale. The Role As an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) you’ll act as founder / GM for a portfolio of flagship applications: wallets, DeFi tools, NFT experiences, on-chain games—whatever will delight users and pull them onto our chain. You’ll iterate rapidly, de-risking concepts through data, user testing, and our pre-built analytics suite. When a concept shows traction, we spin it out with you as CEO and seed it with Unto Labs capital. Success is simple: the products you lead hit #1 in their categories and become case studies for the next wave of crypto developers. What You’ll Do Ideate & Validate Select from our backlog of high-impact concepts—or pitch your own—with direct input from protocol, design, and growth leads Prototype fast using React, React Native, and our SDKs; dogfood every release and instrument for metrics out of the box Leverage our playbooks for A/B testing, retention analysis, and virality loops to prove out or kill ideas quickly Build & Launch Lead a dedicated pod of engineers, designers, and growth specialists through MVP, beta, and store launch Own product strategy, roadmap, budgets, and unit economics for each live app Scale & Fundraise Drive distribution via ASO, performance marketing, partnerships, and community programs Craft investor narratives, pitch alongside our partners, and close follow-on rounds at market terms Recruit and manage the permanent team that will operate the spin-out company You Are A builder-founder with 5-10 years in consumer tech, gaming, fintech, or crypto Proven track record shipping mobile or web apps to >100 k MAU, ideally top-chart titles Deep familiarity with DeFi primitives, NFT standards, wallets, and growth loops Expert in React / React Native; bonus points for Swift, Kotlin, Rust, or Solidity Data-driven operator who owns metrics and has scaled a P&L Magnetic leader who can recruit, inspire, and level-up cross-disciplinary teams Relentlessly curious, comfortable with ambiguity, wired for speed Big Note: We’re especially interested in founders who have already tried to build a startup whether you succeeded spectacularly or failed fast and learned .
