Job Description

Join the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) team as a Site Manager to support operations at Barnes Air National Guard (ANGB), Massachusetts (MA). The Site Manager will be the single-point of contact to oversee all on-site F-35 contractor support operations and will be the primary customer liaison to Air National Guard leadership at Barnes ANGB, MA. What You Will Be Doing Responsibilities include: . Site Manager reports to the AFS Field Operations Director and maintains close coordination with the Global Fleet Support team in the management of Performance Based Logistics requirements. • Site Manager will have overall responsibility for on-site contractor technical services, Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), training system support, and sustainment spares warehouse liaison services. • Work closely with the on-site Pratt & Whitney Field Service Engineers to ensure that all F135 support impacts are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. As part of these responsibilities, he/she will manage project and support resources in compliance with cost goals and operating budgets and maintain a sustained growth of technical and professional competence of the on-site support team. • Will responsive to the operational and support concerns of Air National Guard leadership at Barnes ANGB, MA and ensure responsive support is provided by contractor support activities. • Management tasks include, but are not limited to, oversight of all on-site contractor activities, planning and scheduling of on-site team work assignments (including potential contractor deployment packages), enforcement of safety and physical security procedures and directives, and management of labor charges and administrative documentation.

  • Will also ensure personnel compliance with program, company, and government agency policies and procedures and coordinate staffing and training requirements.
  • Must be willing to deploy, as required, for a long-term assignment, work any shift, and weekends.
  • Some travel may be required. Candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to hazardous duty location.

At least 7 of those years must include fighter ops/maintenance experience. - Demonstrated experience working and interacting with senior management within unit operations and maintenance communities. - Fighter aircraft maintenance and operations leadership experience.
  • Experience leading a diverse workforce.
  • Demonstrated experience managing product /
system engineering support. - Basic understanding of managing cost and schedule using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar budget system. Desired skills The following Desired Skills are not required but are those skills that would set a candidate apart from the other candidates: - Working knowledge of F-35 maintenance and operations. - Candidate should possess a broad military aircraft support background and advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be effective in a high tempo operational environment. - Ability to effectively communicate with supporting companies (Pratt & Whitney, NGC, Rolls-Royce, etc.) and local base authorities critical for success. - Prior military or civilian equivalent operational maintenance & logistics experience desirable; specifically organizational and intermediate maintenance experience. - Should be considered an expert authority in the maintenance, operations, and support disciplines. - Interim Contractor Support (ICS) experience to include retrofit management desirable. Familiarity with the F-35 logistics, autonomic logistics information system (ALIS), technical publications approach and supportable low observable support concept beneficial. - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $117,200 - $206,770. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
