Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr A prominent alternative investments firm in New York City is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their growing team. This role provides the opportunity to work across a diverse range of fund products, including hedge funds, venture capital funds, fund of funds, and public ETFs. This is a hybrid role requiring 4 days in office. Job Function Review daily, monthly, and quarterly fund accounting packages and investor reporting. Reconcile capital activity, subscriptions/redemptions, and contributions/distributions for investors across all fund products. Manage fund cash and expense tracking. Communicate with the Portfolio Manager and investment team regarding trading activity and cash balances, and reconcile/review trade activity details. Assist in valuation processes across all fund products. Support trade settlements and product development for new fund launches. Assist the operations team with account onboarding, system implementations, and process improvements. Collaborate with internal legal and compliance teams, respond to investor inquiries, and support Operational Due Diligence sessions. Job Requirements 3 - 5 years of experience with a strong background in finance and public/private accounting. CPA or parts passed preferred. Experience coordinating with third party fund administrators. Experience in completing audits of hedge funds, private equity, or venture capital funds. Experience in digital assets/crypto currencies is a big plus. Experience in client service or communicating with investors. Understanding of operations, pricing, and trade settlement.
