Job Title: Furniture Assembler

Job Description

As a Furniture Assembler, you will oversee the complete assembly of furniture components, managing both warehouse operations and on-site client installations. You will begin each day at our warehouse, receiving a list of materials and instructions, then proceed to client sites to complete furniture assembly. The role requires significant travel within Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, with an emphasis on efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble furniture components from start to finish both in the warehouse and on client sites.
• Load trucks with necessary materials and prepare for daily assignments.
• Spend 75% of work time on client sites, including universities, office locations, and warehouses.
• Travel to job sites using company vehicles, unload trucks, and assemble furniture on-site.
• Prepare future orders and maintain cleanliness in the warehouse when not traveling.
• Complete all work assignments by the end of each workday at the warehouse.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of assembly, production, or construction experience.
• Proficiency with basic hand and power tools such as screwdrivers and drill guns.
• Ability to read and interpret rulers, tape measures, and various measuring equipment.
• Capability to understand and follow basic blueprints and directions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Provide basic hand tools within the first month of employment (screwdriver, drill gun, bit set, tape measure).

Work Environment

You will work primarily in a modern, clean warehouse that is not temperature-controlled. While on client sites, you will experience varying conditions based on the location and weather, requiring appropriate dress. The first shift runs from 7 am to 5 pm, and flexibility is required to accommodate project completion times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MILFORD, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
