Position Overview:
We're looking for a people-first, hospitality-driven Assistant Manager to join our Stamford team. This individual will be a key player in daily operations, ensuring that both our guests and team members receive the best possible experience. You'll work side by side with the General Manager to uphold our standards, foster a strong and social in-store culture, and help drive business-including catering opportunities in the local area.
Looking for an AGM (assistant manager) that after a year or so could grow into the GM role.
High level:
1) Want them to be our best teammate. Know how to work the line and every aspect of the store.
2) Assist the GM with all tasks.
3) Provide leadership on the floor during the busy lunch rush.
4) Cover the store during slow times and think through some marketing strategies.
5) Be out going and a cheerleader for our store. Present well and be able to go on sales calls for catering etcetc
Key Responsibilities:
· Guest Relations & Floor Leadership
· Be a constant, friendly presence on the floor-greeting guests, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
· Lead by example, delivering excellent customer service behind the line and coaching the team to do the same.
· Act as the "face of the restaurant" during peak hours and events.
· Must be able to work well with the various apps and tech (excellent email communication).
Employee Training & Development
· Onboard, train, and mentor team members to maintain high standards in service, food quality, and cleanliness.
· Reinforce company policies and operational procedures, providing feedback and hands-on support.
· Motivate the team to perform efficiently and with enthusiasm.
· Operational Oversight
· Monitor food presentation and quality as part of daily quality control as well as expedite behind the line during busy times.
· Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost management.
· Step in for the General Manager during absences or when focused on other strategic priorities.
Catering & Community Engagement
· Leverage social skills and local connections to build relationships with potential catering clients.
· Partner with the General Manager to grow catering sales and fulfill large-scale orders with precision and professionalism.
What We're Looking For:
· 2+ years of experience in a restaurant leadership role (fast-casual or quick-service preferred) manager/shit leader/AGM/GM etc....
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; genuinely enjoys interacting with guests and staff
· Proven ability to train and inspire a team
· Hands-on leadership style with a focus on service and quality
· Comfortable managing guest feedback and turning challenges into opportunities
· Passion for hospitality and local food culture
· Organized, dependable, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
