As a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, Johnson Controls is seeking HVAC systems mechanics with experience in commercial and industrial markets, specifically with HVAC AIR-COOLED CHILLER equipment. The role involves working with advanced heavy commercial and industrial equipment, providing factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA), and offering milestone recognition, monetary rewards, and advancement opportunities. Mechanics will be equipped with tools and a vehicle to perform their job at the highest standard. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of practical working experience in HVAC mechanical equipment service, with the ability to pass a skill examination. Responsibilities include repairing air-cooled, centrifugal, steam turbines, absorption machines, open-drive screw chillers, and ammonia systems, performing maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems, and providing recommendations and solutions to ensure efficient facility operation. The role requires providing quotes to support recommendations and solutions. Required qualifications include 5 years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC, commitment to a 30-Hour OSHA Certification post-hire, computer literacy, good communication skills, and EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
