Job title:

Technical Lab - Lab Assistant – 3rd Shift in Irving, Texas

Now Hiring: Lab Assistant – 3rd Shift – Irving, TX (Full-Time, Onsite)

Location: 4770 Regent Blvd, Irving, TX 75063

Contract Length- 3+ months

Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 1:00 AM – 9:30 AM

Pay Rate: $17.20/HR

 

Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to support our technical laboratory staff during the 3rd shift at our Irving, TX location.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort and receive specimens in the department
• Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment
• Centrifuge specimens, print labels, record data (e.g., temperature charts)
• Prepare and store specimens for testing (e.g., aliquoting, clot/fibrin checks, slide prep)
• Prepare reagents and media as required
• Perform quality assurance/quality control duties as assigned
• Locate missing samples and resolve pending test lists
• Decontaminate work areas and perform radioactive wipe tests
• Maintain departmental records and perform weekly safety protocols
• Change gas cylinders and follow PPE/safety regulations
• Use lab computer systems and dispose of biohazard materials properly
• Complete required training and competency checklists

 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical assistant training helpful
• Background in math and science preferred
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and retain learned information
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work respectfully with team members and internal/external customers
• No prior lab experience required—on-the-job training provided

 

Reliable attendance and willingness to work 3rd shift are essential.

This is a  contract position , with potential for extension or permanent placement based on business needs and performance.
