Expected hourly pay range of $25.09-34.61, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

 

Please note this position could be filled a level I, II or III depending on experience.

Primary Purpose of Position for Lab Technician I

Responsible for performing basic equipment calibration, testing, and analysis using recognized methodologies and industry standards under direct support of the Lab Tech team. This is an entry level position for developing equipment calibration and component testing technicians.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities for Lab Technician I

• Setup and perform basic calibrations of measuring & test equipment and/or tests and analysis of plant components, systems, and parts.
• Produce accurate test reports of calibrations and testing as required in the Constellation PowerLabs Quality Assurance Manual.
• Assists in customer onsite calibrations or testing that may involve regional travel.
• Maintains and calibrates testing and analytical equipment.

 

Minimum Qualifications for Lab Technician I

• High School degree
• Demonstrated aptitude for science, technology, engineering, and math.
• Ability to gain access to Constellation

 

Primary Purpose of Position for Lab Technician II or III

Responsible for performing all levels of equipment calibrations and/or testing and analysis using recognized methodologies, industry standards, and technical experience.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Perform calibrations of measuring & test equipment and/or tests and analysis of plant components, systems, and parts.
• Produce accurate test reports of calibrations and testing and verifies acceptability of results as required in the Constellation PowerLabs Quality Assurance Manual.

Interact with clients and vendors on technical projects and calibrations.

• Process vendor calibrations and conducts vendor source verifications for testing and calibration.
• Perform corrective / routine maintenance and/or repair of PowerLabs and customer equipment.
• Support or perform customer onsite calibrations or testing that may involve regional travel.

Minimum Qualifications for Lab Technician II or III

• Associates degree, or 60 credits toward a BS degree in a technical field
• OR PMEL training (no experience required)
• OR a high school degree plus four years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated aptitude in: chemical, electrical, mechanical or metallurgical testing, analysis or calibrations or basic engineering principles
• Ability to gain unescorted access to Constellation Nuclear Stations
• Good oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications 

• Nuclear plant experience or Radiation protection experience
• Metrology or related VoTech education
