Label and Packaging Graphics Manager-Regulatory

Position Overview:

As a Label Development & Packaging Graphics Department, you will support the Label & Packaging Graphics Department in a way that fully accomplishes the overall goals of the Company. You play a crucial role in reviewing and approving Bayer Crop Science product labeling and packaging graphics. You ensure label accuracy by incorporating all internal and external regulatory mandates, marketing requirements, specifications, and guidelines for the North America region covering Crop Protection, Seed Growth, Row Crops, and Vegetable seeds. Your expertise as the regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) and key interface for internal and external stakeholders is vital in providing guidance and ensuring alignment across business functions. You support business strategy by ensuring product packaging meets standards and specifications and complies with federal regulations. By aligning closely with Planning, you ensure the timing and availability of packaging best support customer needs. You develop and implement procedures and policies for labeling and packaging to maintain the integrity of the labeling process.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support business strategy by ensuring product packaging meets standards and specifications and is compliant with federal regulations.

• Serve as the regional Subject Matter Expert and key interface for internal and external stakeholders.

• As the process owner you will provide guidance to ensure alignment with expectations across business functions. Representing the team in cross-functional meetings

• Develop and implement procedures and policies for labeling and packaging that ensure the integrity of the labeling process is maintained.

• Align closely with Planning on timing and availability of packaging to best support customer needs

• Serve as architect and catalyst to help with resourcing and prioritization to ensure packaging and labeling best meets customer needs Key Working Relation:

WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Preferred Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in technical and/or business discipline

• 10+years’ experience in regulatory or chemical product labeling and transportation.

• Proficiency in matters related to FIFRA (Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act), with an extensive knowledge and understanding, interpretation, and application of Part 156, Title 40, of the Code of Federal Regulations governing the labeling of pesticide products and devices; the ability to serve as subject matter expert is essential for success in this role.

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of 49CFR, Hazardous Materials Regulations, as it pertains to the transportation, shipment, and governance of pesticide products

• Within 49CFR the Label Review Manual for signs and signal words

• Agility to manage many things at once.

• Ability to prioritize.

• Flexibility to act fast when necessary while also practicing patience and resilience

• Communication skills are necessary to represent expectations around process lead time with stakeholders.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $111,693.60 - $167,540.40 compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
