Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Legal Assistant to join our law firm in the heart of San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing various administrative tasks.

Duties

• Perform data entry tasks accurately, maintaining up-to-date client records and case files using MyCase.
• Assist with filling out estate planning, business organization filings and provide further support with other legal administrative tasks.
• Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates for the attorney while managing his calendar efficiently.
• Utilize legal research tools like Lexis-Nexis or WestLaw to assist with case preparation.
• Answer incoming calls, following up with leads, and managing client intake.
• Collect payments and follow up with past due invoices and other billing matters.

Experience

• Previous experience in a legal environment
• Proficiency in data entry and administrative functions; experience with legal software is plus.
• Proficient with Mac software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving with attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time M-Th from 9-2PM

Pay: $18 per hour

Expected hours: 20 hours per week
