Summary

As a Licensed Insurance Agent, you will be instrumental in driving insurance sales and providing exceptional customer service to clients. Reporting to the Sales Manager, your core skills in communication and sales will enable you to effectively engage with customers and understand their insurance needs. Your bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, will enhance your outreach and service to a diverse clientele. With premium skills in negotiation and outside sales, you will work to develop tailored insurance solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and retention in a competitive market.

Job Type: Full-time

Only candidates who meet the following criteria will be considered for this role:

1. Must have an active Property and Casualty insurance license.

2. Must be able to make the commute to our agency location in Jessup, MD. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services
• Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed
• Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification

Requirements:

• Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred however not required
• Insurance Sales Experience/ Property & Casualty and L/H licenses preferred
• Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
• Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and listening
• Self-motivated
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to effectively relate to a customer
• Property & Casualty license (required)
• Life & Health license (required)
