Forklift (Lift Truck Operator) Description:

• Evaluate product due to damage and determine disposition (salvage, dump, repack for sale).
• Check quality issues to product and contact team lead with issues.
• Assemble, load, and/or unload materials to designated area using appropriate equipment including forklift, clamp lift, barcode readers and safety equipment.
• Select appropriate packaging materials, repack products in boxes ensuring they are properly sealed and accurately labeled.
• Operate machinery like forklifts, pallet jacks, trash compactor, and use handheld scanners.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Transact inventory adjustments via Blue Yonder.
• Receive and understand material movement orders.
• Cycle counting support
• Physical inventory support (non-poly and finished goods)
• Recycle support
• Housekeeping duties; inventory consolidation; material reclaim and scrap.
• Always follow safety guidelines

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Must be able to work 8-hour shift, lifting cases the entire shift.
• Must have proven experience working in a fast-paced warehouse/logistics environment.
• Ability to multitask, detail oriented.
• Must have standup and sit-down forklift truck experience. Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience preferred.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Prior use of RF barcode reader and vehicle mounted (VMU) computer systems preferred.
• Basic computer skills (i.e. Microsoft suite basic Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Basic knowledge of mathematics
• Must successfully complete forklift certification program; complete certification manual within 90 days of placement.
• Must have the basic ability to communicate, orally and written, in the English language.
• Must be self-directed and can work with little supervision.
