POSITION: Maritime Attorney
LOCATION: Miami, FL
WORK TYPE: FULL-TIME, ONSITE

Our client, a highly respected law firm based in Miami, is seeking a seasoned Maritime and Admiralty Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated legal professional with strong industry relationships or a portable book of business to step into a leadership role. The firm has successfully represented individuals, businesses, professionals, insurance carriers, self-insureds, governmental entities, brokers, underwriters, agents and insureds since 1970.

The ideal candidate will manage their own caseload, lead a team of attorneys and staff, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm. Compensation is highly competitive and aligned with experience and business development potential.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage a full caseload of maritime and admiralty matters

• Provide expert legal counsel to clients, including self-insured corporations, insurance carriers, and government entities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of junior attorneys and staff

• Play an active role in client development and contribute to firm-wide business growth strategies

Requirements :

• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing

• Minimum 5 years of maritime and/or admiralty law experience

• Proven ability to independently manage a docket of cases

• Established industry contacts and/or a portable book of business

• Strong leadership and communication skills
