Currently we have an opening for a Senior Congress Manager, GMA Oncology located in Cambridge, MA. Details for the position are as follows:
Pay Range: $100-$125/hour
Job Description:
- 6-month contract with the possibility of extending or converting to permanent based on performance and budget.
- Hybrid Schedule: 2 days/week onsite, 3 days/week remote
- The Senior Congress Manager leads the operational planning and execution of oncology congresses across all therapeutic areas. This role ensures seamless delivery of medical exhibit content, strategic congress planning, and cross-functional collaboration to support the company Oncology's medical objectives.
- Congress & Exhibit Operations
- Determine and develop medical exhibit content; oversee medical content vendor (e.g., LEAP).
- Collaborate with Medical Information to determine staffing schedules for medical exhibits.
- Apply metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of medical exhibits.
- Congress Strategy & Planning
- Draft and manage medical congress strategy, leveraging Psi-Comm, data releases, and other relevant inputs.
- Prepare Congress Pre-Read materials for select congresses, collaborating with Scientific & Competitive Analysis (S&CA) and integrating content from Business Planning & Operations (BP&O) and Commercial teams.
- Draft Pre-Congress agendas for select congresses, integrating medical strategy and Core Team input.
- Other operational responsibilities related to executing congress deliverables in a timely manner
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Serve as a member of the ONCORE Strategic Operations Team, contributing to cross-functional congress planning and execution.
- Liaise with Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, Patient Value, Policy & Access, Corporate Communications, and regional/local teams to align congress objectives and execution.
- Operational Excellence
- Track and report congress metrics, impact assessments, and outcomes.
- Manage vendors and budgets to ensure performance against targets.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of tools, templates, and processes for congress planning.
- Innovation & Best Practices
- Identify and implement innovative approaches and technologies to enhance congress effectiveness.
- Share best practices and support continuous improvement across oncology therapeutic areas.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Master's in a scientific discipline) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in medical affairs, congress planning, or related roles in pharma/biotech.
- Strong understanding of oncology therapeutic landscape.
- Proven experience in operational execution, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards for congress activities.
- Ability to travel up to 2535%, including international travel.
