BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician II to join our outstanding and compassionate team!

Mental Health Technician II Position Details:

• Facility: BayCare Health System, Behavioral Health Adult-NBBH 
• Location: North Bay Recovery Ctr 
• Status: Full Time, Exempt: No 
• Shift Hours: 6:45am-7:15pm
• Weekend Work: Every Other 
• On Call: No

The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:

• Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse. 
• Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing. 
• Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients. 
• Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.

Required Certification/Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) 
• CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred 
• Patient Care Technician - preferred

Required Education:

• High School or Equivalent
• Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred

Required Experience:

• 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
