Job Description

BCTG's direct client is looking for a Senior ERP Engineer to play a key role in optimizing and maintaining its enterprise systems, including NetSuite, Oracle, and Workday. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in critical business processes such as Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Expense-to-Pay (ETP), and Record-to-Report (RTR) while leveraging OOP (object-oriencted programming), scripting, API connectivity, and database management to drive automation and efficiency.

This role will work in a SOX-compliant environment and collaborate cross-functionally within an Agile/SCRUM framework to support a fast-paced, hyper-growth gig economy business.

Key Responsibilities:

• ERP System Development & Integration
• Design, develop, and enhance ERP workflows, customizations, and automation across NetSuite, Oracle, and Workday.
• Build and maintain APIs for system integrations between ERP and other business applications.
• Optimize data models and database queries to ensure high system performance and scalability.
• Business Process Optimization & Compliance
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and compliance teams to enhance OTC, PTP, ETP, and RTR processes.
• Ensure SOX compliance by implementing appropriate controls and audit trails.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and ERP system insights.
• Scripting & Automation
• Develop scripts (JavaScript, Python, Shell, SQL, SuiteScript, etc.) to automate business workflows.
• Work on reporting and data extraction for real-time analytics and decision-making.
• Monitor and optimize batch jobs and scheduled scripts for ERP performance.
• Agile/SCRUM Collaboration
• Actively participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to drive ERP enhancements.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Support system testing, UAT, and deployment cycles within an Agile DevOps environment.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of ERP engineering experience in NetSuite, Oracle, or Workday.
• Strong understanding of OTC, PTP, ETP, RTR, and other critical business processes.
• Proficiency in OOPs programming (Java, Python, C#) and scripting languages.
• Hands-on experience with API development, web services (REST, SOAP), and database queries (SQL, PL/SQL).
• Knowledge of SOX compliance, financial controls, and audit requirements.
• Experience working in Agile/SCRUM teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a scaling business.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Hyper-Growth Tech / Gig Economy industries.
• Certifications in NetSuite, Oracle ERP, or Workday.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps tools.
