Job Description

The Fresh Personal Shopper position is responsible for picking/packing produce items, items being picked are of highest quality, scanning items for order completion, and ensures the customer's goods are well protected. Previous produce and/or quality assurance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities and Working Conditions:

• Processing (picking + scanning + packing) produce items
• Ensure produce items are of highest quality for our customers
• Safe Food Practices specific to department
• Assist in housekeeping of the department
• Maintain excellent safety, quality, cleanliness, and productivity standards within the distribution warehouse
• Audit product for quality
• Maintain a team player mentality by assisting others when the need arises
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• In a workday: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more
• Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling
• Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching
• Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals, loud noises, flashing lights
• Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators)
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
• Ability to work in other areas of the business as needed

Education and Qualifications:

• Must be customer focused.
• Must be passionate about quality.
• Previous produce and/ or quality assurance experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must be able to work holidays.
• Must be able to start overnight or early morning hours (start times vary by department)
• Must be comfortable in a warehouse/production environment
• Ability to meet production and accuracy standards in a fast-paced work environment.
• Able to stand and walk for long period of times
• Ability to push, pull, squat, twist, kneel, reach, turn and bend
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs intermittently during a typical work shift
• Comfortable and able to work an 8-12hr shift (hours per day are based on business need)
• Must be able to stand for the majority of your shift
• Ability to work in a climate of 35 and 70 degrees.
• Required to wear oil and slip-resistant shoes
• Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture

Note: The hourly range for this role is from $16.50 to $16.50. Specific compensation for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.
