We are working with a LA based private equity firm specializing in the consumer and technology sectors in the lower middle market. They are seeking a highly motivated Private Equity Associate to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking. Key Responsibilities: Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through market research, industry analysis, and networking. Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on target companies, including financial analysis, market assessment, and operational review. Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions and valuations. Transaction Execution: Assist in the negotiation, structuring, and execution of investment transactions, including drafting investment memos and presentations. Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support to drive growth and operational improvements. Reporting: Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management and investors on portfolio performance and investment activities. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with portfolio company management teams, industry experts, and other stakeholders. Qualifications: ~ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred. ~2-3 years of experience in investment banking ~ Strong analytical and financial modeling skills. ~ Excellent communication and presentation skills. ~ Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. ~ Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
