Job Description

Title: QA TESTER

Location: ROCKVILLE, MD

Type: Contract to hire

Requirements:

• 5+ years of testing experience with a Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Experience with testing web-based applications, client-server applications, and highly configurable COTS products
• Experience with HP Test Tools: Quality Center and QTP
• Experience developing regression test suites and automated test scripts using Quick Test Pro (QTP)
• Experience in developing risk-based test strategies
• Experience in creating high-quality test documentation such as Test Plans, Test Cases, RTMs, and Test Analysis Reports
• Experience testing in formal and/or regulated environments using structured methodologies
• Experience with HP Performance Center is desired

• Clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in automated testing tools
• Experience with various testing types: functional, interface, integration, regression, compatibility, etc.
• Experience with messaging services such as BizTalk
• Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies
• Knowledge of basic project management frameworks and methodologies
• Ability to analyze complex application requirements for clarity and testability
• Ability to estimate testing efforts
