Location: Chicago, IL Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Client: Confidential Experience: 5 7 Years Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester with 5 7 years of experience in testing data platforms, ideally on Microsoft Azure . The role involves validating data movement, transformations, and accuracy across Azure Data services, supporting billing and analytics systems. Responsibilities: Design and execute test plans for Azure-based data pipelines and APIs. Validate data transformations in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake environments. Develop automated test scripts for data validation and regression testing. Work collaboratively with developers, analysts, and engineers to ensure data quality and integrity. Identify and document bugs, performance issues, and inconsistencies in test scenarios. Requirements: 5 7 years of experience in software/data testing, preferably with a focus on data analytics platforms. Strong SQL skills for data validation across structured and semi-structured sources. Hands-on experience with Azure Data Stack (ADF, Synapse, ADLS). Familiarity with test automation tools (Selenium, Postman, PyTest, etc.). Experience in Agile environments and tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
