Quality Manager (QA/QC)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Or similar Field) or 10 Years of Shipbuilding experience

• ISO Auditor Certified
\n

• \n Job Responsibilities : \n
\n
• Position will be responsible for providing Quality oversight (including vendor QMS review/adherence)
\n
• Communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—with all stakeholders.
\n
• Demonstrate a strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
\n
• Read and interpret customer design/build requirements, including purchase orders, change orders, drawings, and specifications.
\n
• Serve as the primary point of contact for quality concerns with customer oversight representatives.
\n
• Review and implement updates to all quality management documents relevant to current projects.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
\n
• Plan, schedule, and conduct Quality Management System (QMS) audits of all suppliers.
\n
• Apply working knowledge of compliance surveillance requirements based on project scope.
\n
• Identify and manage all quality- and project-related risks.
\n
• Train and oversee production line staff in effective production practices and quality assessment procedures.
\n
• Lead and assist in investigations of procedural and process violations.
\n
• Manage the Corrective Action Program and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
\n
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and data trends.
\n
• Prepare and deliver reports to senior leadership, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
\n
• Hands-on experience in welding, fitting, or waterfront operations is a plus.
