Temporary Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist

Location: Broken Arrow, OK Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (some flexibility) Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary Compensation: $25-35/hr

We are hiring a Temporary Bookkeeper / Accounting Specialist with recent, hands-on experience in QuickBooks Online for our client's finance and accounting team. This is an immediate-start role designed for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can step in and support the finance & accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is confident with core accounting tasks, and can manage multiple priorities independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting entries and maintain accurate general ledger records
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Track expenses and assist with job costing and fixed asset tracking
• Maintain subcontractor documentation (W-9s, certificates of insurance, tax exemptions)
• Administer and reconcile company credit card transactions
• Assist with financial reporting and monthly close processes
• Provide backup support to the Controller as needed
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and internal controls

Required Qualifications

• Recent and hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger functions, and bank reconciliations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines without oversight
• Strong communication and organizational skills
