At Riverwood Center we have a team of caring and committed professionals providing a wide array of personalized services to individuals with behavioral health, intellectual & developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. Riverwood Center is located in beautiful Southwest Michigan with staff at seven sites across Berrien County. We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and a member of Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health, Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards, and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for receiving, processing and responding to Releases of Information in accordance
with applicable regulatory standards.
Responds to high volume of call and questions regarding the disclosure of Protected Health
Information.
Assists individuals in accurately completing Releases of Information.
Submits and tracks Medical Record Disclosure Fees, creates and maintains spreadsheets,
and provides reports.
Exercises sound judgment, critical thinking skills in the execution of job duties.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
One or more years experience in a medical records setting preferred.
Knowledge of health terminology, regulatory standards relating to the release of health, mental health
and substance use information in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2.
Exceptional attention to detail required and ability to interact in a professional manner with
consumers and other stakeholders.
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, high-level written and oral
communication skills.
Must be highly proficient in Excel and other computer applications and have the ability to
manage/organize data and reports.
