This position will perform basic research using molecular techniques (including staining non-human viruses for virus-bacteria experiments, and next generation sequencing library preparation), microbial cultivation of cyanobacteria and non-photosynthetic marine microbes; assist with lab ordering; assist with organization of lab data; assist in mentoring undergraduate students. Required: Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year of relative experience. The College of the Arts and Sciences Department of Microbiology is seeking a Research Associate. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university.
