We are partnering with a respected specialty contractor supporting one of the largest data center construction projects on the East Coast. This firm is known for its work in crane services, rigging, and heavy equipment support across large-scale commercial and industrial builds. They prioritize job site safety and are seeking a Safety Coordinator to help maintain compliance and promote a proactive safety culture.

Role Overview

The Safety Coordinator will work on-site in Ashburn, VA , overseeing day-to-day safety operations for a high-profile data center project. This role is ideal for someone with a foundational safety background who’s ready to grow within a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies
• Conduct daily/weekly safety inspections and correct potential hazards
• Coordinate safety onboarding and training for new hires
• Maintain incident logs, inspection reports, and documentation
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Partner with field crews, PMs, and superintendents to improve site safety practices
• Serve as the go-to resource for all safety-related questions and escalations

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of safety experience in construction or industrial settings
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and general construction safety standards
• Strong communication and people skills — must be approachable and proactive
• Comfortable working in a high-traffic, active construction site
• Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR) preferred but not required
• Preferred : Familiarity with crane and rigging safety practices
