Job Title: School Social Worker

Location: Oregon, Illinois

Start Date: August 2025

Position Type: Full-Time (35 hours/week)

About the Position:

Aequor is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students’ emotional, social, and behavioral well-being. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to student success, experience working within a school setting, and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect social work services to students with IEPs and 504 Plans
• Support the development of positive behavior strategies and interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, and parents to address student needs
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and support the evaluation process
• Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution services as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or Master degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Work Endorsement
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
