A Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) is needed to provide maternity leave coverage in a school setting in Kentwood, Michigan. This full-time, temporary position offers a unique opportunity to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development while gaining valuable school-based experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.

• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support for students in acute situations.
• Educate students and staff about social-emotional skills and mental health awareness.
• Maintain thorough documentation of services and student progress.
• Facilitate communication among school personnel, families, and community agencies to ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active LMSW license in Michigan.
• Experience in a school-based setting or working with pediatric populations.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to special education, including IDEA and 504 Plans.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic school environment.
