Senior Accountant - NonProfit

About our Client:

CFS of New York is working with a Nonprofit organization with a mission centered around serving individuals and families experiencing Homelessness in the community. They are currently experiencing tremendous growth and need a strong Sr. Accountant to join the team.

What you'll do as the Sr. Accountant:

• Accurately code and ensure all Expenses & Invoices
• Monthly Expense Reports using current funding sources.
• Provide accounting support to the Executive and Financial Management Team
• Maintain logs and fiscal records ensuring accurate data is available for analysis.
• Bank reconciliation and maintain all bank binders for all sites.
• Assist in month end and year end closing process.
• Intercompany and allocation schedules.
• Assist in annual audit and other funding source or authorities' audit.
• Periodic payroll entries and reconcile Payroll account.
• Assist in special projects and run ad-hoc reports.

• Will assist Director's during annual audit and in the production of audit schedules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5+ years' work experience in accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles
• Nonprofit industry experience required
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong Excel and ADP Skills
