• LEAD MARINE TECHNICIAN/MECHANIC

Reports To: Service Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt

Job Status; Regular Full-Time

As a Lead Marine Technician/Mechanic at Trader Bill’s, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, servicing and repairing boats and outboards. In this position, you will either work independently, or part of a team, as requested.

Essential Job Duties:

1. SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
2. Experienced and knowledgeable with the service of outboards, I/p and sterndrives, including Aqua Patio, Hurricane, Vexes, Suzuki, Sanpan, Yamaha Outboards, Mercury , and Sweetwater
3. Follow company processes and procedures to meet deadlines.
4. Meet with Service Manager every day to review previous day’s results and today’s plan of action.
5. Assist Service team as directed by Service Manager.
6. Follow all company safety Policies and Procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
7. Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
8. Must be available to work Saturdays as part of work week.

Qualifications:

1. Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
2. Experience in marine mechanics, small engine repair, or similar field preferred.
3. Valid Marine Technician Certification from Mercury, Yamaha or Suzuki is a plus
4. Valid driver's license is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force, and frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position requires frequent standing/walking, bending/stooping, lifting/handling, pushing/pulling and carrying.
