Job Description

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year at a K-12 school in Albany, OR. This contract role offers a 37.5-hour work week and provides an opportunity to support students across a range of grade levels.

Available caseloads include:

• 3rd-5th grade autism classroom (social learning center)
• Middle school resource position
• Elementary resource position

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning needs
• Delivering specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities
• Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to foster inclusive learning environments
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies accordingly
• Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching credential or certification in Special Education
• Experience working with K-12 students, preferably with autism spectrum disorders or resource support
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to create adaptive lesson plans and provide differentiated instruction
