A school district is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to lead a self-contained intensive education classroom for elementary students. This role focuses primarily on upper elementary grades and requires expertise in autism support and evidence-based instructional strategies.
Position Overview
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:40am4:00pm
Grade Levels: Kindergarten6th, primarily grades 56
Classroom Setting: Self-contained, intensive education
Specialty: Experience with Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Discrete Trial Instruction, and/or Autism support
Location: Details disclosed upon candidate qualification
Qualifications
Active state teaching certification in Special Education
Background in ABA, DTI, and autism support preferred
Strong skills in individualized instruction, behavior management, and collaboration
