This is an exciting opportunity to join our Perma-Chink Family! We need an experienced Staff Accountant to join the accounting team in our Redmond, Washington Corporate office. Perma-Chink is a national specialty building supply manufacturer who sells our products to owners of log homes, in addition to builders and contractors, within a showroom & phone sales atmosphere.

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant will support the Chief Financial Officer and Accounting Manager in various aspects of the accounting function. This role is an integral part of a 5-person accounting team, contributing to financial reporting, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate integrity, dependability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post accurate journal entries with appropriate audit documentation.
• Perform timely bank reconciliations for multiple accounts across several entities.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain records for capital assets, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and amortization; calculate and record gains or losses on disposals.
• Assist in preparing audit and tax-related documentation.
• Review and analyze inventory and related cost components to identify discrepancies and ensure proper valuation.
• Generate specialized reports and perform data analysis as requested.
• Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and segregation of duties.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (particularly Excel and Outlook); strong data entry skills required.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, Jet Reports, or manufacturing ERP software is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the role.

Compen s ation :

• Starting compensation $75,000 - $90,000/yearly plus an annual profit-sharing bonus.
