Ulta Beauty is driving transformation in beauty services. As a Stylist you will consult guests on hair care needs, recommend products and services, and deliver quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest’s total look.
GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE
The Stylist supports the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) with a focus on performance (sales and productivity), people (guest service), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards). A passion for the beauty industry, exceptional guest service, and strong product knowledge are essential.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance
Perform hair services (cut, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin, extensions, makeup, ear piercing).
Meet or exceed $800 average weekly sales and productivity goals.
Demonstrate business acumen and identify growth opportunities.
Drive product sales through demonstrations and guest education.
Support in‑store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
People
Consult with guests and recommend retail and service solutions.
Deliver high standards of customer service and salon image.
Build relationships with skin therapists and retail team for a total‑store experience.
Process
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and safety, sanitation, and infection control guidelines.
Maintain store operational standards and cleanliness.
Adhere to dress code and loss prevention best practices.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Cosmetology license.
Previous salon experience preferred.
Proficiency with current salon techniques and product knowledge.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and stand for long periods.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Frequent mobility, lifting up to 10 lbs., stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, twisting.
Ability to stand for long periods and manipulate objects.
PAY & BENEFITS
Pay range: $15.97 – $19.00 / hour or services pay per the Services Compensation Plan. Overtime, tips, and full‑time benefits (paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, disability) are available. Part‑time positions receive dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
