Job Description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator  to join our team in Washington, DC . This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  

  • Install, configure, and support computer systems and peripheral hardware including memory, drives, network cards, media converters, routers, switches, and printers

  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows-based servers and workstations both locally and remotely

  • Perform system tasks such as adding/removing users, software installation, monitoring systems, and daily user assistance

  • Provide remote support by identifying issues through diagnostic techniques, escalating unresolved issues, and ensuring complete resolution and documentation

  • Support operational continuity by logging tickets accurately, tracking incident status, and maintaining detailed records of problem-solving actions

  • Assist in deploying IT hardware through base configurations, coordinating logistics, shipping equipment, and validating receipt and inventory

  • Conduct remote site surveys to determine hardware and cabling requirements and complete other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 2+ years of Systems Administration experience; an Associates degree with 4+ years of Systems Administration experience, or a High School Diploma and 6+ years of Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification required, e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CND or SSCP

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 2016 Server

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Systems and VMware desktops

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITILv4 Foundations certification

  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent maintenance organizational skills

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI clearance and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph

Physical Requirements:  

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
