Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Perfusionist - Perfusionist
Job Details:
• Full-time position working 40 hours per week with rotating shifts
• Schedule follows 13-person rotation with equal distribution of morning shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM), afternoon shifts (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM), and call shifts
• Call shifts are 24 hours (6:00 AM - 6:00 AM) including weekday and weekend rotations
• Call obligation includes weekend and holiday rotations with 30-minute response time required
• Work primarily in operating room with possibility of assignments throughout hospital including Cath Lab, Emergency Room, and ICU
• Provide perfusion support for elective and STAT adult open-heart procedures including CABG, AVR, MVR, Aortic Repairs, AngioVac, Heart Transplants, ECMO and Acute VADs
• Support non-cardiac procedures such as Liver Transplants, HIPEC, ECMO (VV), and Autologous Blood Recovery
• Operate cardiac support devices including IABP, Impella CP/5.5/RP Flex, ProTek Duo, ECMO (VA), CentriMag, and HeartMate 3
• Perform advanced technical work in selection, preparation, operation, and maintenance of heart/lung machine and accessory equipment
• Administer medications, blood components, and anesthetic agents under physician supervision
• Conduct equipment maintenance, perform documentation, and participate in quality management initiatives
• Current State of Connecticut Perfusion License required
• Current ABCP Certification and BLS Certification required

The facility provides a full range of cardiac services including heart transplants, ECMO support, and complex cardiac procedures. The cardiovascular perfusion department maintains high standards of patient care and utilizes state-of-the-art equipment for both cardiac and non-cardiac procedures requiring perfusion support.
