Travel RN Job Details – Des Moines, Iowa

• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Iowa nursing jobs)
  
• Setting: Resource Pool – Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
  
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
  
• Start Date: October 6, 2025
  
• End Date: January 4, 2026
  
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
  
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour night shifts)
  
• Hours per Week: 36
  
• Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1630 - $1750
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa or compact state
  
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
  
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in weekend/holiday rotations
  
• Completion of required onboarding and competency checklists
  
• Current immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, PPD/IGRA, Fit Test)
  
• Successful background check and education verification
  

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
  
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document nursing care accurately
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and deliver timely interventions
  
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical standards
  
• Float within the Resource Pool as needed to support various clinical areas
