Position Overview

The Travel Occupational Health (OH) Technician plays a critical role in supporting CNS Occupational Medicine’s field-based services, with a primary focus on DOT-compliant drug and alcohol testing and audiometric testing. This position requires frequent travel to client sites across Pennsylvania and neighboring states. In addition to on-site testing responsibilities, the technician may provide administrative and clerical support related to the DOT drug and alcohol consortium while traveling. A daily stipend for meals and travel expenses is provided. Candidates must be available for overnight travel and adaptable to a flexible schedule.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol collections in accordance with federal guidelines
• Conduct audiometric testing following CAOHC standards
• Travel to various sites, including early mornings or evenings, for scheduled events or emergency testing
• Maintain proper documentation and chain of custody procedures
• Ensure equipment is transported, maintained, and calibrated as required

Secondary Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide backup support in CNS Occupational Medicine’s Lititz and Delaware clinic locations when needed
• Assist with clerical duties related to drug and alcohol program administration, including form preparation and data entry

Qualifications and Education

• DOT Drug and Alcohol Specimen Collection Certification
• In-house training and certification available if needed.
• CAOHC Certification (Audiometric Testing)
• In-house training and certification available if needed.
• Valid Driver’s License
• DOT Medical Card
• Can be obtain in our clinic if needed

Skills/Competencies

• Valid/current driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be comfortable driving a Ford F-250 (or similar vehicle) and towing a small trailer to and from client sites.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism on the road
• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and accuracy in testing and documentation
• Upholds and represents CNS Occupational Medicine’s core values and standards in all work environments
