Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Shift Type: Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Med Surg RN to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering quality patient care in a 352-bed facility, focusing on General Med Surg, Post-Op Surgical, Bariatrics, and Oncology services.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer general medical care and medication in accordance with health protocols.


• Provide excellent post-operative patient care with a focus on recovery and comfort.


• Monitor patients remotely using telehealth systems, in conjunction with monitoring technology.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.


• May float to Medical-Surgical Telemetry as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent travel nursing experience required.


• Experience in Telemetry is a must.


• BLS certification required.


• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records preferred.


• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Patient and Unit Details

This position entails a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6, with a surge plan that allows for a maximum of 1:7 during peak times. The unit consists of 21 beds with a monthly department volume of approximately 585 cases.

Working Conditions

Blocked scheduling is not available. Candidates must be flexible and adapt to changing demands of the unit.

Guaranteed Hours

A commitment of 48 hours per week is guaranteed, with requests accepted for specific scheduling needs.
