Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Work in a retirement community and skilled nursing facility
• Monday through Friday schedule
• 13-week contract assignment
• Patients are primarily older adults requiring rehabilitation therapies
• Utilize Net Health EMR for documentation
• Evaluate and treat residents to improve independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
• Collaborate closely with physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Provide caregiver and family training to support optimal outcomes
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented therapy culture focused on compassion and resident well-being
• Background checks required: SAM, OSHA, and Medicheck

Requirements

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Pennsylvania required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of 2-Step PPD or TB blood test
• State and federal background check and fingerprinting (required if not a PA resident for 2 consecutive years)
• MMR and Hepatitis B status documentation
• Physical exam required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
