Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underwriter I to support credit analysis and underwriting for commercial floor plan and equipment financing loans. This is an associate level role focused strictly on B2B commercial lending. The Underwriter I will assist in analyzing credit risk, preparing loan packages, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in underwriting commercial floor plan and equipment finance loans
• Analyze borrower financials, credit history, and collateral information
• Prepare credit memos and documentation for review by senior underwriters or credit committees
• Support internal teams with data validation and credit-related inquiries
• Utilize tools such as Moody’s Analytics (preferred) or similar systems for risk analysis

Must Haves:

• Recent experience in floor plan lending (required)
• Some experience with commercial loan underwriting or credit analysis
• Understanding of B2B lending practices and financial statement review
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Moody’s Analytics or similar credit risk platforms
• Exposure to equipment financing or dealer lending environments
