Overview Role: US East | Cyber Security Engineer _L2 Employer: Expedite Technology Solutions LLC Location: Seattle, WA or Redmond, WA Job Responsibilities Develop security/encryption based tools for Windows environments as a Windows Tools Developer Engineer / Windows Systems Engineer with depth in Windows internal systems and kernel. Debug Windows applications on multiple targets, identify defects, and track them to closure. Debug Windows OS functionality against requirements; investigate, remediate, and report defects; maintain defect database and generate defect reports. Create and maintain test cases, scenarios, and results for software functionality and compatibility; contribute to test automation tool development. Design and implement tool development for testing and automation; work with Windows platform debugging using tools like WinDbg. Collaborate with security teams to analyze and improve IT security controls; participate in threat modeling and risk identification. Qualifications Deep understanding of Windows internals, system architecture, and kernel concepts. Familiarity with Windows debug symbols (PDB files) and management of debug symbols. Experience in security analysis of multi-tier enterprise/web applications; Windows debugging with WinDbg. Proficiency in C++, C#, and Microsoft PowerShell. Certifications in (ISC)2, ISACA or equivalent security certifications. Understanding of IT Security Compliance, Information Systems Security & Privacy. Experience in threat modeling and identifying security risks; experience with CVEs is a plus. Experience with Windows patches and security updates validation for FIPS 140 evaluations; familiarity with Azure tools, TFS/VSTS/VSO. Tool development with a focus on test automation; debugging source code; strong analytical and fault isolation skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Defect tracking experience.
